  •   What is shahi paneer ?
Sumptuous, rich and flavourful are the words that strike a chord when we consider shahi paneer. Smooth sauce, delicate solid shapes of paneer and a lot of flavor make this dish genuinely illustrious. Serve it with some spread naan or rice for a finger-licking, healthy dinner.




Prep time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serves: 2

INGREDIENTS
  1. Ghee - 1 Tbsp.
  2. Cumin seed - 1 tsp.
  3. cinnamon - 1 inch
  4. cloves - no. 2
  5. Green Cardamom - no. 2 
  6. Black Cardamom - no. 1
  7. Bay leaf - no. 1
  8. Green chili - no. 2
  9. Ginger [ cut into cubes ] - 1 inch. 
  10. Garlic [ Roughly chopped ] - no. 2-3
  11. Onion [ Cut into Quarter ] - no. 2
  12. Cashew nuts [ Soaked ] - no. 10-12
  13. Tomato [ Cut into Quarter ] - no. 4
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Turmeric - 1/4 tsp.

For Final  Assembly

  1. Butter - 2 Tbsp.
  2. Kashmiri red chili powder - 1 Tbsp.
  3. Coriander powder - 1 tsp.
  4. Prepared Puree 
  5. Paneer [ cubed ] - 250 gm
  6. Cream - 1/4 cup.
  7. Kasoori methi - 1 tsp.

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a kadhai and add all spices, followed by green chilies, ginger-garlic, saute for a minute.
  2. Now add onion, cashew nuts add saute. Do not brown them and keep translucence.
  3. Add tomatoes, salt and turmeric mix and saute for a minute. Now add 1/2 cup water, cover and cook on low flame for 12 - 15 minute. Stir it once again and allow it to cook.
  4. Now transfer the mixture into the blender and blend until fine texture.
  5. Now pass this curry from the strainer to get that smoot and silky texture.
  1. Now heat butter in a non-stick pan and add kashmiri red chilli pawder and coriander powder. Saute for a minute and add prepared curry. Stir gently for a while and add paneer cubes. Add cream and sprinkle Kasoori methi powder all over. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes on low flame.
  2. Before serving garnish with cream and sprinkle cardamom powder.
